Frequently Asked Questions

    • This office is not wheelchair accessible, there is a large staircase going up to the office.

    • Light scents are occasionally used in the space, and the space is shared with other practitioners that use dried herbs, otherwise strong fragrance free.

    • Shea butter, unscented massage lotion, or rice bran oil is used for the massage.

    • There will be an air purifier actively on during the massage and I have masks available if that is preferred.

    • If you would like a massage but this space wouldn’t be accessible for you please reach out and I am available occasionally for in home sessions.

    • Clients can cancel/rebook their appointment up to 12 hours before their scheduled time. Cancellations after that window and no shows forfeit appointment. Emergencies happen, so if that is the case please reach out as soon as you can.

    • If you’re 15 minutes late, come in ready to make the rest of your session count! Beyond that window is considered a no show and subject to cancellation policy.

  • Cash is preferred but I also take Venmo. Payment is due at the end of the session.

  • In front of the office there are parking spaces that require paying a meter but if you are able to walk a bit further there are neighborhoods nearby with free parking. If you make an appointment for Saturday morning arrive early as parking can be busier on farmers market days.

    • This is a therapeutic private practice that ensures the comfort and well being of each client. Any sexual advances made by the client will automatically terminate the session with no refund given.

    • Before your first appointment you must fill out the new client intake form. If you are a repeat client please update me with any new injuries/ illnesses/ allergies in order to keep you safe during the session

    • If you are feeling at all sick you must cancel your session (at no charge) or if you have been around anyone with covid please take a rapid test before the session, if positive you must cancel and if negative and please let me know so that we can wear masks.

    • Therapist covid policy: I am covid conscious, have gotten the most recent booster, and mask when in crowds. I will let you know as soon as possible if I need to cancel the appointment due to sickness.

  • Welcome!

    • Comfort and safety is most important, all clients no matter gender will be draped the same way, only the part of your body actively being massaged will be undraped otherwise you will be covered by a sheet or a sheet and blanket

    • Massage can be like a workout for the body, after your massage it’s important to be drinking water through out the day.

    • When you arrive we will discuss your intake form and a plan for your massage that would be best suited for you

    • You are supported in speaking up during the massage if you are needing to and we can adapt your massage around your needs

    • These massage modalities that are offered should not hurt, the deeper massages refer to attending to the deeper muscles not a deeper pressure. That being said areas of restriction in the muscle can have an intense sensation (that if used too much pressure on can hurt) and we will communicate to make sure that when we are tending to these spots that the sensation is only so large that you are still able to breathe as your regularly would.

    • if you prefer oil over lotion please wear clothes you don’t mind getting oil on and you will be asked to remove your jewelry that are on areas we will be massaging
